At Techsellr we handle personal data with care. This privacy policy explains which data we collect, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian privacy legislation.
1. Who is responsible?
Akya BV, trading as Techsellr Hekkerstraat 90/34, 9230 Wetteren, Belgium Company number: BE 1026.814.482 E-mail: hello@techsellr.com
In this policy we refer to this as "Techsellr", "we" or "us".
2. Who does this policy apply to?
- Visitors to our website.
- People who fill in the free sales scan, send us a message or book a call.
- Business contacts we approach ourselves because their company may benefit from our services.
- Customers and their employees we work with.
- People who sign up for our emails, events or workshops.
3. What data do we collect?
- Contact details: name, job title, company name, work email, phone number and your company's profile.
- Sales scan data: your answers, your team size and your result.
- Data from conversations and collaboration: notes, reports and information about your sales organisation that you share with us.
- Data from public sources: business information you made public yourself, for example on LinkedIn, on your company's website or in the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises.
- Billing data: company details, VAT number and payment information of customers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, pages visited and which link or campaign brought you to our website.
We don't ask for sensitive data, such as data about health, religion or political opinions. Please don't share it with us either.
4. What do we use your data for, and on what basis?
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Showing your sales scan result, replying to your message and scheduling a call | Steps taken at your request, prior to a possible contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) |
| Contacting you after the sales scan or a call about your result and our services | Legitimate interest: responding to your interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR) |
| Approaching business contacts who may benefit from our services | Legitimate interest: growing our business through relevant business contacts (Art. 6.1.f GDPR) |
| Sending you emails with tips, insights, event invitations and information about our services | Your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), or if you're already a customer, our legitimate interest for similar services |
| Delivering our services, preparing reports and issuing invoices | Performance of the contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) and legal obligations (Art. 6.1.c GDPR) |
| Recording or transcribing calls so we can follow them up properly | Your consent, which we ask for at the start of the call (Art. 6.1.a GDPR) |
| Improving our website, sales scan and services, including with anonymised figures on how companies score | Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR) |
| Measuring website visits and showing ads to people who visited our website | Your consent via the cookie banner (Art. 6.1.a GDPR) |
When we rely on our legitimate interest, we weigh it against your interests. We limit ourselves to business data and business messages, and you can object at any time.
5. Marketing and business contacts
We only send you marketing emails if you gave consent, if you're already a customer and it concerns similar services, or if the law otherwise allows it for business contacts. Every email contains a link to unsubscribe. Unsubscribing is free and takes effect immediately.
If we approach you ourselves as a business contact, we do so about topics related to your job. At the first contact we tell you who we are and where we got your details. If you let us know you don't want to be contacted any more, we stop immediately and only keep a record that you don't want to be contacted, so we don't approach you again.
6. Sales scan and automatic score
The sales scan automatically calculates a score based on your answers. That score is an indication to prepare a conversation. No decisions with legal effects for you are linked to it.
7. Who do we share your data with?
We never sell your data. We only share it with:
- Service providers working for us (processors), such as our website and CRM provider, email and calendar tools, tools to take notes or transcribe calls, and our accountant. They may only use your data on our instructions and are contractually bound by the same privacy rules. [Fill in your tools here, for example Odoo, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, Calendly and Jamie.]
- Authorities, if the law requires us to.
- A potential acquirer, if our company or part of it is taken over. This policy then remains in force.
8. Data outside Europe
Some service providers process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. This only happens when appropriate safeguards are in place, such as an adequacy decision by the European Commission or standard contractual clauses. You can request a copy of those safeguards.
9. How long do we keep your data?
- Sales scan, contact form and calls without a collaboration: up to 24 months after the last contact.
- Business contacts we approached ourselves: up to 24 months after the last contact, or shorter if you let us know you don't want to be contacted.
- Customers: for as long as the collaboration runs and afterwards for as long as needed for any questions or disputes. We keep invoices and accounting records for as long as the law requires, currently up to 10 years in Belgium.
- Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe.
- Recordings and transcripts of calls: a maximum of 12 months, unless we agree otherwise.
- List of people who no longer want to be contacted: for as long as needed to respect that.
10. How do we protect your data?
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures, such as secure connections, access only for those who need it, strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and reliable service providers. If a data breach with a risk to you does occur, we notify the Data Protection Authority and, where necessary, you as well.
11. Cookies
Our website uses necessary cookies so that it works properly. We only place cookies to measure visits or show ads if you consent via the cookie banner. You can always change that choice. While you fill in the sales scan, we temporarily store your answers in your browser, so you can continue if you switch pages. That data disappears when you close the tab. More details can be found in our cookiebeleid.
12. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data and receive a copy;
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- have the processing restricted;
- receive your data in a common format or have it transferred;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- object to direct marketing at any time, without having to give a reason;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To do so, email hello@techsellr.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We reply within one month. For complex requests this can be extended by two months, in which case we'll let you know.
13. Complaints
If you're not happy with how we handle your data, please let us know first, and we'll look for a solution together. You can also always lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
14. Minors
Our services are intended for businesses. We don't knowingly collect data from people under the age of 16.
15. Changes
We may update this privacy policy, for example if we start using new tools or the law changes. The date at the top shows when that last happened. We'll let you know about important changes.
